Features
The FairScan software utilises many features that make it easy to scan rather than write your orders. Many features such as inbuilt barcode scanner, ability to scan new customer name badges (at supported fairs), minimum order quantities and stock on hand ensure that orders can be taken quickly, accurately and more professionally.

Barcode Scanning
All handhelds have an inbuilt barcode scanner. This allows items to be entered by scanning a barcode rather than manually entering in codes. Scanning barcodes allows a 100 line order to be entered in the fraction of the time it would take to write each individual code. |

Live Order Total
A running total of the order can be provided at the tap of the button. This allows the user to quickly ensure minimum order totals have been met and that customer's can be informed on the spending as they go. |
Enter New Customers
New Customers can be entered into the system by scanning their name badge (at fairs) or typed in manually. |
Item Duplication Check
The handheld has a duplication check that ensures that the same Item isn’t entered twice. The handheld will make a loud sound if an Item is scanned twice on the same order. This indicates that the Item has already been ordered. The user can then increase or decrease the quantity for that item, delete the item or just continue with the order. |
Set Order Delivery Date
Upon completion of the order the user may set a Delivery Date by selecting a date from an on-screen calendar. |
Auto Minimum Order Quantity
A Minimum Order Quantity can be loaded for each individual item. Then when that item is scanned the quantity ordered is automatically set to that value. Therefore if the customer wishes to order minimums or each item the handheld operator only needs to scan each item once as each items individual minimum will be set as the quantity ordered. The user can adjust the quantity if required. |
Stock on Hand whilst Ordering
As each item is scanned a Stock on Hand value will be displayed on the handheld screen. This gives the handheld operator a good guide of whether the item is available or not. Please note that this value is only a guide and isn’t a ‘Live’ value as their will most likely be other orders being taken at the same time. |
Item Search
If a barcode for an Item is damaged and can’t be scanner, or the product isn’t in the catalogue or on display, the user can perform a search on the handheld for that item based on either Code or Description. |
Signature Capture
At the end of an order the customer can sign the screen on the handheld to confirm their order. This is the same as what freight and transport companies do when accepting deliveries. That signature is then displayed on the print out of the order once it has been downloaded to the computer.

Auto Print
The Application has the ability to automatically print orders when they are downloaded. This is particularly useful at a Trade Fair as a customer can receive a copy of their order instantly. The benefit of using Auto Print is that the user of the handheld doesn’t have to touch the computer running the FairScan Application. The first page of an order will start printing within 15-20 seconds from the start of the download. Also has the option of printing more than one copy automatically. |

Sales Figure Reports
There are numerous reports available in the FairScan Application. These reports give the user ‘live’ statistics on their sales. Reports include 'Current Total'. daily sales figures, quantity ordered by item and most/least ranked selling items just to name a few. |

Import to Accounting Systems
The FairScan Application allows for orders to be imported into particular Accounting Systems. Orders are imported as 'Sales Orders' therefore allowing modification if required in the Accounting System prior to them being turned into Invoices. This process saves hours of manual data entry work.

Adjust Downloaded Orders

Use at Fairs and on the Road
The FairScan system can be used at both Trade Fairs and on the road by reps and agents. At fairs the FairScan Application is typically installed on a laptop whilst when used on the road the handhelds sync back to a PC running in the businesses office. |

Password Protected
All Management functions and Sales Reports are protected by a Management Password. This is to ensure that unauthorised people don’t accidentally adjust the configuration of the Application or view sales figures. The password can be turned on or off. |
Auto Email
When using the system on the road, reps and agents will instantly receive an automatic email back with a pdf copy of their order attached. The rep can then forward that email to the customer if required or print and file a copy for themselves.
