Fully Centred LabelsFull Centred Labels
As of June 2026, new boxes of labels have different margins at the top and bottom.
These new labels are called ‘Fully Centred Labels’ meaning that the margin at the top and bottom are now the same.
The good news is that now you don’t have to remember which direction to put the stickers into the printer.
The bad news is that you need to adjust your BarTender template to allow for these new top and bottom margins.
Make sure you make these changes to your template before you print otherwise your labels won’t print within the barcode sticker area.
Open Template
Open your 40mm x 15mm template.
Click on the ‘Page Setup’ icon which is located 4th from the left in the top row.
‘Top’ Field
Click into the ‘Top’ field.
Replace the value in there (most likely currnetly 15.4) with the value 13.
This is telling the program that the top margin is now 13mm when it used to be 15.4mm
‘Bottom’ Field
Click into the ‘Bottom’ field.
Replace the value in there (most likely currently 11) with the value 13.
This is telling the program that the bottom margin is now 13mm when it used to be 11mm.
Make sure that both the top and bottom values now equal 13.0 and then click ‘OK’.
Save
Click the ‘Save’ icon now to make sure the changes you made are now saved. This will mean you don’t have to repeat these changes again next time (as long as you use the same template file).
Now click ‘Print’ and print your barcodes as you normally would.
Make sure you do a test print on 1 page first to make sure the barcode print fits within the label.
