Since 2001 FairScan has been Australia’s leading supplier of Barcode Ordering Systems to the Gift and Homewares Industry. FairScan takes pride in providing an easy to use, affordable, integrated and well supported system that allows users to scan their orders at fairs, on the road or in their showroom.
In 1999 Luke Hovey worked closely with Mushroom Giftware to develop a barcode scanning system to replace the previous handwritten method of writing orders. Mushroom used this basic scanning system successfully during the year 2000 which generated a great deal of attention amongst other exhibitors. Luke continued to work with Mushroom during this time to help refine and expand the capabilities of the system.
FairScan was then formed in 2001 and started providing an all in one solution for businesses to implement a scanning system. FairScan continued to develop and customise the software, supply the required hardware, and provide both in office training and onsite fair support to ensure that the system operated smoothly.
Since then FairScan has gone on to supply over 300 exhibitors with a scanning solution and has become the number one supplier to the Australian and New Zealand Gift and Homewares market.

Allows orders to be scanned via barcodes then imported to Accounting Systems
The FairScan Ordering System allows users to scan their orders into a handheld and have them imported to an Accounting System. This process is more efficient and accurate than hand writing and is also a massive time saver when it comes to processing orders as it eliminates the need for manual data entry.
By scanning orders you can take bigger orders faster! You will be able to keep up with customers ordering and there is no turning the page or reading of messy handwriting.
The FairScan Ordering System can be used at any Trade Fair or selling environment anywhere in the world. We currently provide onsite support for the setup days and duration of all Reed Gift Fairs, AGHA Gift Fairs and Expertise Gift and Lifestyle Fairs in Australia. Support is also provided at Décor & Design in Melbourne in July, the Melbourne Toy Fair in March, and the two Auckland Gift Fairs in New Zealand. Other fairs can be supported on request via phone or remote access.
As well as onsite fair support we also provide yearlong support via phone, email and remote access. Assistance is provided in all areas relating to using the FairScan System including the creation/printing of barcodes, configuring and loading of software and setup and maintenance of all hardware.
Our software integrates with many leading Accounting Systems including MYOB, XERO, Unleashed, Attaché and QuickBooks just to name a few.
